The 6th DOE Traineeship implemented at TÜV Rheinland Headquarters in Cologne
The sixth DOE applicant entity traineeship was successfully implemented from 03 August to 25 September 2009 at TÜV Rheinland Headquarters in Cologne. The selected staff from the CEPREI Certification Body, Ms. Chen Chunyan, participated in the traineeship in Cologne. The objective of this traineeship was to enhance the participant’s knowledge and skills on sectoral scope and CDM validation, to enhance the capacity of participant’s organisation, and facilitated the progress of domestic DOE development in China. Under the supervision of a senior TÜV CDM auditor, Ms. Chen conducted a series of studies on CDM methodologies, methodological tools, and participated in the validation process of a number of ongoing CDM projects under different project categories, including the wind farm extension project in Tétouan, Morocco and the SBBC Fuel Switch Project. The traineeship further strengthened the participant’s skills and knowledge of sectoral scopes, CDM validation and provided hands-on skills and CDM validation and verification experiences to the participant. This 8-week traineeship is the last DOE applicant traineeship provided by the EU-China CDM Facilitation Project. So far, the project has implemented six long-term traineeships in Cologne, Germany and a series of AE training workshops in Beijing, China. The traineeships have been proven to be successful in enhancing the capacity of the participant organisation and facilitating the progress of domestic DOE development in China.
