The fifth traineeship for organisations participating in the Applicant DOEs training programme was held at TÜV Rheinland Headquarters in Cologne from 04 June to 24 July, 2009. Ms. Piao Lijing from China Classification Society Certification Company participated in the traineeship in Cologne. Under the supervision of a senior TÜV CDM auditor, the traineeship further strengthened the participants’ skills and knowledge of auditing, sectoral scopes, CDM validation and verification, from a series of studies on the methodology, methodological tools, validation and verification manual, and the case studies regarding the validation process of a number of current CDM projects under different project categories.

The traineeship provided hands-on skills and CDM validation and verification experiences to the participant. It enhanced the capacity of participant’s organisation, and facilitated the progress of domestic DOE development in China. The participant organisation, China Classification Society Certification Company highly evaluated with the results from the traineeship.
