Drug Uses
Anafranil is indicated for treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It can also be used for other situations as directed by your physician.
How Taken
Take Anafranil as pre-scripted by your doctor. To avoid stomach upset take Anafranil with food intake. It may take 2 - 3 weeks before you feel the effect of Anafranil. Continue taking Anafranil even if you feel better.
Additional Information
Anafranil can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects may worsen if Anafranil is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Anafranil with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your physician. Anafranil should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your physician.
