Drug Uses
Reglan is used for treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who don't respond to other medications. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It may also be used for other situations as advised by your physician.
How Taken
Use Reglan as directed by your doctor. Take Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without checking with your physician.
Additional Information
Reglan may cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Reglan with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this medication. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, check with your physician. Reglan can be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Don't take less or more or use it more often than directed by your physician.
