The fourth DOE traineeship in Cologne, with the participation of TÜV and China Environmental United Certification Center Co., Ltd (CEC), from 16 March to 8 May 2009

The fourth Applicant DOEs traineeship has been implemented at the TÜV Rheinland headquarters in Cologne, Germany from 6 March to 8 May 2009. Mr. Du Wei from the China Environmental United Certification Center (CEC) participated in this training programme. Under the supervision of a senior TÜV CDM auditor, the trainee studied CDM methodologies and methodological tools, participated in the validation process of the on-going CDM projects, and attended the EB 46th Meeting and the CDM Joint Coordination Workshop in Bonn.

During this traineeship, On 25 March 2009 at EB 46, the China Environmental United Certification Center (CEC) and China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) were accredited as Designated Operational Entities (DOE) for both verification and verification/certification functions. CEC and CQC are the first two Chinese DOEs which can now perform CDM project validation and verification services both in China and around the world. Both CEC and CQC participated in the EU-China CDM Facilitation Project’s previous DOE traineeship in 2008 and the technical staff from CEC is participating in the current fourth traineeship in early 2009.
